Kelly Toney

Kelly Toney’s practice is focused on family matters and probate administration. Ms. Toney’s goal is to provide guidance, counsel, and client-focused solutions to bring resolution to family-based legal matters. Kelly has engaged in several trainings to be educated in mental health issues that are often involved in family law cases. She is proud to provide trauma-informed service to her clients.
Prior to joining the Datz Law Firm, Ms. Toney was an advocate for families across the Denver area and represented families in estate/probate matters, as well as dissolution and custody matters. She also honorably represented and served the people of the State of Colorado as a deputy district attorney in the Front Range foothills.
Kelly earned her Juris Doctorate from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio and received distinguished recognition for her trial advocacy skills. While earning her Juris Doctorate, she concentrated in alternative dispute resolution and became a certified mediator and guardian ad litem. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Toney earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Cedarville University and served as a staffing coordinator in the human resources department of a university.
When not in the office, Ms. Toney is an active volunteer and member of her community. She enjoys cycling, skiing, rafting, camping, St. Louis Cardinals baseball, and her Bernese Mountain Dog.
